REPORT FOR DECEMBER 2005 January 9, 2006
I trust in God the Father that this year will be one of blessings for all. In the report for the month of December I don’t have much to tell you. As I spoke with the brethren the first Sunday we met in this year 2006, we have a big problem rooted here in Venezuela. That is, taking the whole month of December for vacation; this has been reflected even in the spiritual field where the brethren and the contacts decide to take a rest in their search for salvation, strengthening, and spiritual growth, which makes my wife and I stop all our regular activities in the work.
I took advantage of this forced recess to study up for the debates I will have first of all, with Ali Pineda and also with two institutional brethren. I also was able to meet with Jose Diaz, the preacher in Cagua, ...[more]
REPORT FOR JANUARY 2006 February 7, 2006
May God bless you in this New Year. As always we trust this year will be better than the last one, with the Lord’s help. This month we had two surprises—a good one for the whole church and a bad one for my family. Both of them occurred the same day, Sunday the 28th.
The good surprise was during the morning. We had the pleasant surprise to see 2 new souls added in this area: Sisters Isabel Ramirez and Ana Romero. They obeyed for very different reasons—the reason Sister Isabel obeyed was because of the death of her oldest daughter. She wanted to know what the condition of her daughter was now that she is no longer here. We talked about this and she realized the importance of being personally prepared for the coming of one’s death. Ana came through the visits she has been maki...[more]
REPORT FOR FEBRUARY 2006 March 5, 1006
The month of February has been very interesting for the work we are realizing in Valencia. We have been visited every Sunday by Tulio and Abigail, the sister of our recently converted sister Ana Romero. I was in the home of their Mother and we talked with her awhile. Her Mother was a Jehovah’s Witness for 20 years but has now left them—you could say that Abigail was practically raised there. I am sharing some things the JW believe.
Abigail was baptized yesterday, but I’ll talk about that in the next report.
The new sisters, Isabel Ramirez and Ana Romero have been attending faithfully. I want to follow up to strengthen them spiritually. Ana has shown good interest in learning and preaching the Word. I am also taking advantage of the Sunday Bible classes to continue prepa...[more]
NOV/DEC 2007 REPORT January 7, 2008
First of all, receive my greetings and wishes that in this New Year we may continue enjoying all the blessings that we had in the past and that we persevere, in spite of the opposition which the enemy puts on us every day.
We thank God that, beginning in Dec., we are meeting in the covered basketball court of the Maria Goretti elementary school. This school is located at the beginning of Branger Ave. on the edge of downtown, in the San Blas sector.
During the month of Dec. my wife began to visit some of the neighbors in San Blas, along with our youngest daughter Elizabeth, passing out tracts and inviting them to worship with us. This motivated the rest of the family to do the same, after the services. We have spoken with some other people, but nothing really serious yet. Any...[more]
